The PHFX uses a two-layer winding construction. The inner layer is made from high-temperature resistant material to prevent yarn shrinkage or falloff during thermal cycling, while the outer layer provides the primary filtration gradient. The surface can be coated with resin for combined filtration and desalination duty in condensate polishing units.
