The PHFX is a depth-filtration string wound cartridge engineered specifically for iron removal in power plant condensate systems. Available up to 70 inches in length, it supports high flow rates with minimal housing changes. Compatible with PP, cotton, and glass fibre media on SS304 or SS316L cores.

The PHFX uses a two-layer winding construction. The inner layer is made from high-temperature resistant material to prevent yarn shrinkage or falloff during thermal cycling, while the outer layer provides the primary filtration gradient. The surface can be coated with resin for combined filtration and desalination duty in condensate polishing units. The stainless steel centre core is rated to withstand the instantaneous impact pressure generated during resin backflush and burst cycles.
