PLX Standard String Wound Filter Cartridge
The PLX is Pullner’s standard string wound filter cartridge, available in PP, absorbent cotton, or glass fibre media wound onto a stainless steel centre core. It handles general pre-filtration duties across industrial water treatment, food and beverage, and chemical processing. Lengths of 10, 20, 30, and 40 inches cover the most common housing sizes.

- Graded Honeycomb Structure: Sparse outer, dense inner layers load contaminant through the depth instead of blinding at the surface.
- High Contaminant Holding Capacity: Extends service life and lengthens intervals between change-outs.
- Low Pressure Drop: Minimal differential across the media, reducing pumping energy.
- Four Media Options: Polypropylene, degreasing cotton, glass fiber or organic fiber — selected on chemistry and temperature, not just micron.
- Temperature Range to 200°C: Glass fiber media extends service well beyond the polypropylene limit.
- Rigid Core Options: PP, 304 or 316L stainless to match pressure and corrosion duty.
- Effective on Rust and Suspended Solids: Well suited to particulate and iron-oxide removal.
