Polypropylene Pleated Water Filters
Polypropylene pleated water filters are special filters made with a type of plastic called polypropylene, which is folded in a pleated design. These filters are commonly used to clean impurities like sediment, dirt, and other contaminants from water. They’re easy to install and quick to replace, making them a popular choice for many people who want to improve the quality of their drinking water.
The PPM series pleated filter cartridge combines the characteristics of deep filtration technology and pleating filter material to ensure that the filter cartridge has high dirt holding capacity and filtration area, especially suitable for filtration of high suspended particles, colloidal substances and high viscosity liquid.
- Micron Rating
- 0.22–100 µm (0.22, 0.45, 1, 3, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100)
- Max Temperature
- up to 80°C

- Depth Plus Pleat: Depth-loading media in a pleated format — capacity of a depth filter with the area of a pleated one, rather than trading one for the other.
- Built for Difficult Fluids: Specifically suited to high suspended solids, colloidal matter and high-viscosity liquids.
- Graded Efficiency: Rated from >95% to >99.9% so the element can be specified against a required removal figure, not just a nominal micron.
- Nine Ratings: 0.22 to 100 µm across the series.
- 226 Fin Connection: Positive-seating cartridge interface for reliable sealing under load.
- Temperature-Derated Pressure Data: Published differential at both 21°C and 80°C, so the operating envelope is explicit rather than implied.
- Five Seal Materials: Silicone, NBR, Viton, EPDM or FEP matched to the process fluid.

A PP pleated water filter cartridge is a cost-effective, low-maintenance option for pre-filtration.
Contaminants commonly removed by PP pleated water filter cartridges:
- Sediment, rust, sand, dirt
- Microbial contaminants (bacteria, viruses, protozoa)
- Pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers
- Heavy metals and general chemicals
Typical applications:
- Home, commercial, and industrial water filtration
- Laboratory and medical water filtration
When selecting a PP pleated cartridge, consider:
- The particle size that needs to be removed
- Water flow rate
- Water type and source chemistry
- Target service life
